Jokichi Ikarashi, 111, oldest living person at time of death. http://en.wikipedia....okichi_Ikarashi Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
It's like that title is cursed or something (sorry). Just for facts' sake, he was the oldest living man. The oldest living woman is Misao Okawa.
You're right, of course. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2

Whenever I see those "oldest" dies... I'm thinking that didn't take long.

Good riddance.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

Good riddance.

Yeah. At best he blew harder than all the other blowhards. At worst, he molested kids.

At least he got one last Hall of Fame vote in, since, you know, you can only lose it when you use it to make an unpopular point.

I never met him myself, but my stepfather grew up next door to him. He dated his sister a couple times.

Marlboro Man dies from smoking (NBC Washington)

A smoker since age 14, Lawson later appeared in an anti-smoking commercial that parodied the Marlboro man and an "Entertainment Tonight" segment to discuss the negative effects of smoking. Susan said her husband was proud of the interview, even though he was smoking at the time and continued the habit until he was diagnosed with COPD.

Pete Seeger has passed away at 94. True hero of American folk music.

Much like the This and That thread, thought it'd be a good idea to have a thread dedicated to Hollywood stars, musicians, etc. Feel free to include friends and relatives as well.

R.I.P. Harold Ramis. Your portrayal of Egon Spengler was one of my first nerd heroes. http://abcnews.go.co...ory?id=22651174

We had "Recent deaths." I think this type of thread is generally good for those who don't warrant much attention and/or didn't pass in a notable way.

Man that sucks.

Wrote Animal House and directed Caddy Shack.  Dude had chops, I think he was underrated as a comic since he always played the straight man like Egon (or Ziskey in Stripes, a personal favorite).

"This reminds me of the time, you tried to drill a hole through your head."
