Defense is his best attribute, so PER isn't a great stat to use for him. Also, McRoberts is solid. Lastly, those picks and expiring contracts aren't that valuable.

He wasn't even the best defender on their team this year, Klay Thompson was better from what I hear (not watching all the games, obviously)..You don't think those expirings might have come in handy with Bogut and his fragility down the stretch.

Ok, his PER was lower than Tyler Hansbrough too.

Expiring contacts aren't as valuable anymore. So no, I don't think keeping dead weight on the roster instead of a valuable player in order to deal for a replacement for someone that got hurt after the deadline would have been better. You can argue that a different acquisition would have been better, though. Also, I'm not buying Thompson being the better defender at all.

And it's official:

@AP BREAKING: The Golden State Warriors say they have relieved coach Mark Jackson of his duties.

Didn't he raise the status quo?

@ESPNStatsInfo Mark Jackson was the first Warriors coach to lead the team to consecutive playoff berths since Don Nelson in 1991-92.

I still think they could have gotten some big man who was more valuable than JO down the stretch, but your point on Expirings in general is valid.

As for Thompson, I'm only going by what I heard the Warriors feel nowadays. I can't say I've seen enough to make that assertion.

My basic point is that now that the season is over for them, Jackson has been fired...etc, I've heard that if they could have last offseason over, they'd have kept Jack and Landry, and not did the sign and trade for Iggy...They won't admit it publicly, but I've been told different.

Eh, either way I think they are likely out in the first. And I think it's a weak excuse for Barnes.

A starting 5 of Curry, Thompson, Iggy, Lee and Bogut with HB as a sixth man should be better IMO. Not sure about Jackson as an Xs and Os guy.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Iggy was a great move for them.

The Bogut injury was key for them.

I guess it's safe to say we'll agree to disagree on this one..

Anyway, after what I heard about Rick Welts relationship with Steve Kerr earlier today, I wonder if they'll try to swoop in and take him.

HB's rules for autographs..I love #5

Autograph Rules:

1. You must enclose a signed handwritten letter stating why you want the item signed. Sincerity is a must here.

2. You must enclose a picture of you with the item.

3. You must enclose return envelope/packaging and postage.

4. One item per person please.

5. I reserve the right to not sign an item if I choose.
(i.e. Duke Gear, non-Adidas shoes, contracts, etc.)

6. Keep in mind I will be signing when my schedule permits. My time is limited because of daily workouts, appearances, travel, Game of Thrones, NBA2k14, Titanfall, movies, eating, sleeping, travel, planning HBQUEST3, and more training.

$5 says he backs out at sometime in the relatively near future.

Not because he is any kind of welsher. It's gonna become too much and he's going to get exploited.

The other thing. I think it would surprise fans how often this would work with athletes/ famous people. If it looks like the " fan" is genuine.

This is probably the "low" point of his popularity since about 5 years ago, so this is the right time to do it. :-P

@RealGM Warriors have eliminated the California outline logo. Team said in April they'll seek input on name change. Branding moving toward SF.

Wait, name change as in "Golden State" to "San Francisco"? Or "Warriors" to "Name X"?
