Is Drummond even annoyed, lol?

It's funny, I think Draymond is really talking about how people were on Harden who wanted out and they wouldn't do it until he dogged it. But then Harden kind of got dinged by the media.

No idea if Drummond is upset or not.

Think you are right about Draymond really talking about Harden.

I think Wall and Cousins had a point there. They wanted Harden to give his all.

I think people will forget about Harden's last couple of weeks there.

Draymond sounds off a lot. Usually he has some fair points, while also not seeing things from anyone's perspective other than his own..

I can empathize with someone like Drummond (and apparently Blake Griffin is about to join him in that boat). You're a professional basketball player (or any sort of professional athlete) and your employer is telling you not to play because you might be getting shipped off to who-knows-where. That said, the organizations have to do what is best for them, and having a guy you are attempting to trade get injured is no bueno. At least for Drummond and Griffin they are probably more likely than not to end up on more competitive teams.

I agree with Chris, whether you are the player or management, go to the other side with your desire/intentions before you tell anyone else. It's pretty pathetic when you have DeMarcus Cousins learning he was traded while he's doing a post All-Star Game interview on national television.

These guys are getting paid a lot of money to play a game. That said, they're being paid that salary because they generate it.

With the preface out of the way, are there any other jobs where employees are traded?

It's a very weird dynamic where people are the best of the best in the world at what they do, something that generates a ton of money, but with a few exceptions, they can be forced to work for different companies in different cities. We don't think of it as very weird because this is always how it's been dating back to a time where the owners had almost all the power and most fans still probably got upset at players that disrupted their team with meager contract demands.

So again, these athletes have great lives in many ways, but it should also be pretty easy to emphasize with people who have signed longterm deals, settled down with their families, work hard and are professional, but then get shipped off to wherever anytime it benefits their boss.

Or drafted? Imagine a big Wall Street CEO saying to the top graduate out of Harvard Business School..."Sorry kid. We know you really wanted to come work with us, but Goldman Sachs was picking ahead of us, and that's just how it goes. Maybe in a few years it'll work out."

Yep. The system is very contrary to the freedom that we're accustomed to and appreciate. I feel like this is very much one of those things that we accept because that's just the way it's been. Trades and the draft are also a lot of fun for us fans. Plus, it's great to get attached to your teams up and coming players and see them stay though their careers.

However, if pro sports had the same circumstances that basically any other profession does, especially at the top of the market, I think people would think it nuts to switch to what we have.

Steve Kerr:"I enjoyed last season, when we had the worst record in the league, more than I enjoyed that last season when we went to the Finals. Last year we had young guys who were trying every day, working hard and we had a great energy, great spirit and great camaraderie."

Lol. Seems like a little bit of a weird beef. Kinda just seems like he's challenging his team a bit.

“We have a shot at a wild card right now. But it is not a probability that we're going to win a wild card.” -2022 Trade Deadline

"It's liftoff from here" - after selling on 2022

"We're on a slight upward arc" - Winter Meetings 2022

"I think it's really hard to sit there and chart a course and say, 'We're likely to win the division.'" - Winter Meetings 2022

Curry is amazing.  He has 54 3's in the last 6 games.

The best shooter ever, IMO.
