I'm no scout but it's amazing to me how much potential is valued over production, LaVine started ONE game this entire season at UCLA. You can definitely see the POTENTIAL in watching him. And someone like this stock could definitely go down if he came back. All the more reason I'm in favor of atleast two years. But I'm not going to criticize someone who will likely be an instant millionaire, I'd probably make that same decision if given the chance.

The Marvin Williams Memorial Terrible Draft Pick?

The Marvin Williams Memorial Terrible Draft Pick?

He'll be going much lower in all likelihood.

ESPNSemaj Christon to opt for NBA draft

The 6-foot-2 Christon is considered a fringe first-round pick, according to multiple NBA sources.

Chris B might have some thoughts on this one.

See: Len, Alex. I stand by my thoughts last year that he will not be a productive pro.

Hood is going to declare.

Still a lot of whispers that Jabari will stay.  We will see.

I get what you are saying with Alex Len, the big difference here is LaVine doesn't start and this isn't some stacked UK team.

Poor Marvin Williams...

11 PPG for his career..There have been far worse #2 picks over the years.

Darko, Thabeet, Beasley, Derrick Williams..just to name a few in recent years.

It's not really a surprise to me. He's been on the fence for a few weeks now and finally made up his mind.

I'm certainly not mad at Semaj for leaving as he does need to pursue his opportunity. He's got eight younger brothers and sisters so he does need to provide for his family. I'm a little bummed because, with him, we would be a top 25 team next year, but oh well.

The one thing that he lacks is the ability to shoot from long range, which is why he is ranked so low in mocks. Hopefully he has a good showing at the combines and his stock rises. There just wasn't much upside in improving his game by staying another year, barring a long run in the tourney where he excels.

Definitely rooting for him and I hope the nba guys grab him so he isn't stuck in the d league. Semaj plays good defense, is lightning quick, and can get to the rim with ease.

Sounds like the right move from his standpoint.

Yeah I just hope he can get a guaranteed contract. If not, he can make a good living overseas but I hope he makes an nba roster.

ESPNJordan Clarkson chooses NBA draft

Most NBA executives told ESPN.com that Clarkson is considered a late first-round pick. He's a big, athletic guard who they project to be able to play either backcourt spot.

Hmm, not sure about him. Though I guess winning Big Ten player of the year is damn impressive.

It's like he waited just long enough to make sure his stock was as low as it could get...
