Losing sucks. Losing division games sucks worse.

The O's were 52-49 on July 28th last year. They were 8.5 GB of NY.

After tonight, the O's will be 5 GB of NY. If they lose the next 2 games, they will have dug themselves a hole, but it will still be just May 22nd.

It's a long year. There are ups. There are downs.

The O's offense will be solid enough if their regulars stay healthy.  The rotation looks horrible right now, but I think can return to being average ish. The defense is pretty good. The bullpen was great last year, and strong this year until the past week. I think they will again be 'plus'.

If the O's can get to the non-waiver deadline, and still be in things... I believe the O's will augment.

I do agree the question is can the O's stay respectable between now and the end of July.  We will see where Gonzalez is tomorrow. Chen appears to be back in the next 2 weeks. We will see what happens with Gausman.

I'm pissed off at this last week. I'm still optimistic about the season.

I like to rant and you always shut me up with these long, well-written posts

Wieters is a bust with the bat, plain and simple. Biggest disappointment I can think of in recent Oriole memory.

Hey thanks, though with how things are turning out in this game since I started posting I may never come back.

Always good to have other people in here.

We're clearly better now than we were for the first 4 months last year but karma is coming back around. We're pretty much gonna find out legit  good we are this year. Probably in that 80-85 range that many of us thought preseason.

But if and when that happens everyone should be bitching at DD and or PA for not doing enough this past offseason.

Well, Gary, that's what happens when a team completely sucks for almost the entire career of a closer regarded as the best ever, while playing in the same division! GD, STFU with those stats!

I always get a kick out of stuff like that.  ESPN did that with CC tonight showing how he's "dominated" the O's over his career.  And it's like yeah, no kidding.  He got to face the O's all through their most craptacular years.  Big freaking whoop.

Jeff Fiorentino, Jeffrey Hammonds, Jay Gibbons....there are worse.

Can't wait to watch the post game presser to see how they describe this debacle.

Danny Valencia vs Mariano Rivera.

You don't get a whole lot more outclassed than that.

I'm too young to remember Hammonds as a prospect. Firentino and Gibbons weren't nearly the prospects Wieters was. To say Wieters has been anything but a bust with the bat would be a total understandment.

Oh well, another night close to being below .500.

Valencia made solid contact each AB tonight. So that's a good thing.

Looking forward to Buck's presser. Have a feeling it's going to be rather frustrating.

Listen to those bandwagons in our park.

How many of them took off their O's jacket and put on a Yanks jersey after the 9th. Fuck all bandwagon bitches.

If I ever see Jim Johnson's face again it'll be too soon. Where's Ryan Kohlmeier?
