"In Oklahoma: 51 dead, 24 children missing. Many more in hospitals."

Makes what we're bitching about seem pretty silly don't it?

Ugh. Devastating.

Patton, Johnson, Strop and now Matusz all crapping the bed tonight. Talk about bullpen volatility. Exhibit A.

And just think how bad we'll look once the Yankees get healthy and Toronto wakes up. We very well could lose 90 games this year.

Billy Cundiff thinks Jim Johnson is a choke artist this past week.

Considering they'll still get to play us, what, 15 more times? I'd say we'll manage to make them look at least somewhat competent.

Obviously I won't fully count this one as a loss, but you're down 2 with the greatest closer is baseball history coming in. Stranger things have happened, but it doesn't look good.

It's a tough loss any time, let alone after already losing 5 in a row, after your closer had just blown 2 saves, and always, tough losing to these bastards. Tough night.

Hey thanks, though with how things are turning out in this game since I started posting I may never come back.

I know what you're saying, but damn I've always hated that. Most people might not have thought that we would have had a chance - but we did. And we blew it.

Just because most people thought we didn't have a chance doesn't make this ridiculous loss (and string of losses) any easier. It's still shit.

Losing sucks. Losing division games sucks worse.

The O's were 52-49 on July 28th last year. They were 8.5 GB of NY.

After tonight, the O's will be 5 GB of NY. If they lose the next 2 games, they will have dug themselves a hole, but it will still be just May 22nd.

It's a long year. There are ups. There are downs.

The O's offense will be solid enough if their regulars stay healthy.  The rotation looks horrible right now, but I think can return to being average ish. The defense is pretty good. The bullpen was great last year, and strong this year until the past week. I think they will again be 'plus'.

If the O's can get to the non-waiver deadline, and still be in things... I believe the O's will augment.

I do agree the question is can the O's stay respectable between now and the end of July.  We will see where Gonzalez is tomorrow. Chen appears to be back in the next 2 weeks. We will see what happens with Gausman.

I'm pissed off at this last week. I'm still optimistic about the season.

Oh great. Wieters, Valencia, and Dickerson against Rivera.

The possibility of successfully navigating an asteroid field is approximately 3,720 to 1.   Same odds vs. Mo.

What's sad is that right now I have more faith in Valencia and Dickerson to get a hit than I do for the switch-hitting Jesus.

Well, Gary, that's what happens when a team completely sucks for almost the entire career of a closer regarded as the best ever, while playing in the same division! GD, STFU with those stats!

If we present Mo with anything but a punch in the balls on his "farewell tour" I'll burn my O's jersey and hat.
