I love Joe Buck in postseason baseball. Not a big fan of his in football. Buck has a tendency to go silent in dramatic late game spots and let the crowd and the ambiance tell the outcome. I love that. Some guys feel like their call of the game has to be bigger than the moment itself. Not a fan of those guys.

Yep...a guy like Berman saying nothing when Ripken ran around the field was great.
Btw, I agree...Buck is better at baseball than football.

Hammel sounds like a guy that could be destined for the west coast via free agency.
Could be... But he also loves this team and Buck.

Yeah. He has the opposite issue in football, where he's too understated on big plays.
I think Buck is really good at his job as a baseball play-by-play man. However, this is where the McCarver problem really becomes an issue, because if the PBP fades into the rhythm of the game, you need a color man who can bring both personality and information to the table. McCarver simply doesn't do that well anymore.

How does Reimold miss a meatball like that for strike 3? Something tells me two runs isn't going to be enough. The bases loaded DP and leaving Jones in scoring position there...hope it doesn't bite them.

So weird seeing Freddy with the "Baltimore" script across his chest.
If he keeps pitching the way he is, I'll gladly enjoy seeing it!

Seriously, after watching a Mountain Dew commerical with Dale Jr, I wonder how anyone drinks that shit...it does not taste like anything even nearly natural...however, it's the drink of choice for people of poverty for some reason (fact...I am a teacher of kids from poverty).
