NY up 16, about to go up 2-0 on Boston. New York is playing some good ball right now.

The Celtics only scored 23 points in the 2nd half tonight. After really outplaying the Knicks in the 1st half, they looked old and really offensively inept in the 2nd. Melo is also playing out of his mind and JR Smith is pretty legit himself. They should be the only team that can push Miami, although Miami certainly shouldn't lose.
Steph Curry is also crazy fun to watch. 17 points in the first half tonight. I was more bullish on him as a successful NBA player than some, but never thought he'd be a legit star. He's awesome.

That's a BRILLIANT cover...
Unfortuantely, he's going to finish second in the MVP voting again, and probably second in the finals again, but still very cool.

Yeah, it's a cool cover.
So it looks like the Lakers are probably done considering what happened in the first two games and that their top 4 guards are likely out tonight (Kobe, Nash, Blake, Meeks). Once Kobe went down, they didn't have much of a shot anyway against the Spurs imo.
Meanwhile, the Nets are in trouble against the Bulls and their great D.
And we may have a couple of good series' in the West.

That's devastating for them! Even if he comes back quickly, it may not be soon enough. I think we may be getting Clippers-Spurs in the WCF's.

I'm not ready to give up on Memphis just yet...

They have a chance, but I think the Clippers are the better team and they have the best player, who happens to arguably be the best crunch time player in the league.

Tough break for OKC. Westbrook is one of my favorite players in the league so I feel for him, but I can't stand OKC or their fans so I'm not TOO heartbroken.
Nobody was beating Miami this year anyway, which sucks, takes all the fun out of even watching the postseason save for enjoying individual performances.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Yeah, postseason basketball is the worst in a year like this. Sure, there are some good games and individual performances along the way but you know the ultimate result. No drama makes for a horrible postseason. It's why the NBA generally has the worst playoffs of all the 4 major sports. It's easily the most predictable.

Clippers and Memphis are both very good, but I still have the Spurs above both.
So far this afternoon, I've heard anywhere from 1 week to 3 months for Westbrook. Kind of a large window there.

The Spurs and a healthy Thunder have the potential to beat the Heat, it's not what I'm predicting, but the possibility certainly exists.

Oh please.....I'll give you and Tarheel, who I know likes to gamble, 5-1 odds on the field vs the Heat. Thats much more kind than any odds you'll get in Vegas.

I'll take that bet.
