Hitters are going after pitches early so far.

Anything else notice that thing Davis does with his glove hand when he's chasing a pop up. He kind of waives it around in a circular motion. Kinda weird, but of no consequence obviously.

Until he drops one and everyone suddenly scapegoats the move.

Despite the big homer in game 1, Wieters has been pretty bad so far this season at the plate.

Speaking of Wiet, he's 1 for his last 24, with an OPS of .153.

He is. Maybe they continue to confuse this with the fact that he pitched in the NPB in Japan prior to coming over to the O's? Dunno. http://en.wikipedia....ki/Wei-Yin_Chen

I'm waiting for The Krukker to say, "Well, you know...all those Asians look alike..."  total stereotype...

And how many of those are left-handed?  He's as good from the left side as I am, and I am not a switch hitter!

This is the kind of thing that happens when you have a "mindset" based on a certain place in the lineup, and why there will be rending of garments and gnashing of teeth whenever I hear that brought up as a good trait for a player.

Where are you going with this one? Are you saying he should keep bunting in the first inning? This is one of those many times, you seem to be disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing.

There's no easy way to quickly tell by looking at the baseball-reference game logs... but his OPS as a LHB'er this year is .337 in 31 PA's... As a RHB'er it's 1.300 in 12 PA's. Very small sample size for both though.

I've noticed that as well, taking a few pitches wouldn't be the end of the world.

I'm saying the exact, 100-percent opposite.

Could be wrong, but it sounded like he was agreeing with you.

Ben Francisco is a Yankee? Man, I have COMPLETELY lost track of the scrubs they are desperately throwing out there.

Seems like when he's good batting righty, he's bad batting lefty, and vice versa. And we get into the debate of having him bat from one side exclusively.

Man, I love Buck. That's something I do to my friends sometimes. Let it simmer, and get back to me.

Meanwhile, down at the local pub in the Bronx....(all speaking in hard italian New York accents mind you)

"So uh Geno,  you see the attendance @ the Yankees game last night?"

"No Rocco," Geno responds, "I didn't?  What was it?"

"Ah....about 37-38..."

"Wow!  37,000 to see them play the shitty Orioles?  I'd think with ticket prices being this months mortgage...."

Rocco interrupts, "No....37....or 38....people."

What the hell is with this small crowd in NY!?

That Chris Davis has a Jessica Simpson looking wife too, and that ain't like turnin' chicken shit into chicken salad...

There really are few players who annoy me more than Cervelli.
