I'm sure it's been said, but the whole king's court thing down the 3B line in Safeco when Felix pitches is pretty damn awesome. One of the cooler things in baseball right now.

It is. They have a sneaky good fan base, but they haven't had much to cheer about the past few years.

I don't care how they are doing this year. That organization is a joke, and the fact that they extended the GM makes me very happy that they won't be a real threat in the near future.

7/$100M contract for Kyle Seager, with an option at the end.
He was entering his first arbitration year, so this locks in all 3 arb years and buys out 4 FA years. More or less an $18M per year average before discounting it for arbitration. Haven't seen the exact breakdown yet, but my guess is something like $5M, $9M, $12M, $17M, $18M, $19M, $20M.
I love this deal for the Mariners. Hope we explore something similar with Manny.

At the reported $, I think that is a nice deal for Cruz. I wouldn't expect him to duplicate '14, but he should remain productive. Gives that lineup a bit more thump. With Oakland possibly stepping back, Seattle could take the next step out West.

Mariners prospect Victor Sanchez has died
Sanchez was hit by a boat off of a beach in Carupano, Venezuela in February and was placed in intensive care due to a fractured skull and a hematoma, which caused a stroke. Sanchez then went into a coma.
