Gotta love a save being awarded for a pitcher giving up 3 runs in 3 innings to close out a 21-8 bashing of the Rangers.

Just like the official scorers can render a pitcher ineffective to get the Win, I would have the same principle here with the save.

Just read about this on MLB.COM... it was sure nice of them to bring up some O's history in the article... vomit...

"Still, Iwakuma was nowhere close to the Major League record. The record for the biggest margin in a game with a save will likely never be touched, and coincidentally the game also included the Rangers. Texas' Wes Littleton pitched three shutout innings in a 30-3 win over the Orioles in the opener of a doubleheader in 2007"

Ichiro in the leadoff spot for the first time this year, and he hits 2 bombs, after having 1 all year thus far... oh the irony!

Jesus. I can't decide if that's the best curveball ever, or Alexi Ramirez should be ashamed of himself

Mitch Williams said on MLB Network last night, he found a combined no-hitter harder, I couldn't disagree more.

I've found that, even in comparison to Harold Reynolds (who despite my despising his analytical attempts is usually OK discussing on-field stuff), when Mitch Williams says ANYTHING it is pretty safe to take the opposite as the truth.
