They aren't the smartest FO in the league, but they try to win. It seems like they get snake bit on every major acquisition they make.

Good news! I saw a dog today.

Rangers are killing me. Win 6 in a row including sweeping the Jays in Toronto. Then lose 4 in a row including being swept by Cleveland.

Signed Michael Lorenzen.  $4.5M that can reach $7M in incentives.  Incredibly bad job by Lorenzen and his people this offseason.  He got $8.5M last offseason, went out and had the best year of his career, and overplays his hand into a contract for half as much.  He did stink in Philly after the trade, so maybe that's fresh in people's minds, but I gotta think he turned down offers early in the offseason for a lot more than he eventually signed for.

Small sample size alert, but “3-2” Evan Carter is 0-11 to begin the season for the Rangers… with a .409 OBP and leads the team with 5 runs scored.

*I met a Rangers fan at the bar over the weekend who informed me that his nickname is 3 and 2 due to his ability to work counts. I love that.

Josh Jung fractured his wrist on a HBP last night, Justin Foscue called up.
