Matt Rhule is out. He'll collect $40 million to not coach the Panthers.

I don't know much about Matt Rhule, but firing him with $40 mil left after 3 years of re-treads at QB doesn't sound very smart.

Hiring him to a 7/$62M contract seems crazy in retrospect, but I guess he was in demand after getting Temple into the top 25 and Baylor into the top 10.
Also kinda crazy that his contract is fully guaranteed but the players' aren't.

The number of college head coaches that have had success in the NFL is small. Between the lines it's still football, but outside it's a whole different ballgame.

Kliff Kingsbury was 12-13 in Patrick Mahomes' last two years of college and somehow turned one 11 win pro year into 9 years from the Cardinals.

Carolina seems like a place a combo of Kellen Moore and Cooper Rush could end up together.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Pretty much every Nebraska fan on the planet is calling for Rhule to Lincoln.
Oh Husker fans, how fickle.

His contract doesn't count against the cap.

Panthers better try to trade up for a QB otherwise Reich's having a repeat of his Colts tenure.

Some concerns about Reich possibly getting fired down in Carolina, only halfway through year 1.
