Golic really should be given a shot imo...in fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they went with Jr over Sr.
Maybe Orlovsky is a possibility.
They will probably try to appeal to younger crowds somehow.

ESPN is going to have a new Monday Night Football booth. Joe Tessitore and Booger McFarland will not return, via sources. The successors will be internal. No decision has been made yet. Both Tessitore and McFarland will remain in prominent roles at ESPN.
I really liked Tessitore. Why does MNF go through commentators so fast? Their turnover rate is Kyle Boller like.

I actually don’t mind Booger.
He would say dumb stuff but he isn’t a bad analyst. He does well on the shows he is frequently on.
I agree that Tessitore seems fine but they must not get good feedback on him.
That being said, by in large, the public are complete morons when it comes to judging announcers.
This will all be ratings based and the bottom line is that MNF just needs better games.

I have a feeling Pat McAfee will be involved.
Yuck.

Isn’t he a Barstool guy? Didn’t ESPN learn their lesson the first go round with them?

I’m certainly not a Barstool hater like a majority of the posters here, but no, he left Barstool almost two years ago.
I personally am not a fan of McAfee because I think he’s just obnoxious and his “loudness” is why he’s so popular. But he has a young, good-for-tc demographic following, so I could see it happening given ESPN’s recent conservative picks for that color spot.
(Granted, my experience with McAfee is not when he does games. I know he has a relatively love hate following regarding his color commentary of actual games on TV).

This, along with Whitlock moving to Outkick, is literally the least surprising two things I've ever seen.
They should both do well at their respective places.

Will Cain and Bomani Jones just had what pretty much was a 10 minute bludgeoning of each other.
I really think they dislike each other. Like, really.

If someone thinks NASCAR jumped the gun, they are really looking at an argument just to have an argument. There is nothing wrong with NASCAR making a bold proclamation to do a full fledged investigation and terminate the person responsible, two weeks after banning the confederate flag, getting backlash from rednecks on social media about it, and showing up to Talladega Alabama to find lots of confederate flags outside the race track, and someone fly a plane over the track pulling a confederate flag.Over what? Cain saying the media and NASCAR jumped the gun before getting all the facts?
In this environment, even not in this environment, when a noose shows up in the only black drivers garage, NASCAR needed to throw the hammer down. I think video evidence surfacing that it was already there a year ago was the last thing they thought would come of the investigation.
If they threaten to bring the hammer down, they jumped the gun. If they say the boiler plate “this does not represent the views of NASCAR, we support drivers of all colors, We’re sorry this happened.” Then it’s tone deaf and appears insincere.
Give me jump the gun.
