Agreed. We destroyed the smaller teams on the glass, but haven't been able to take advantage the same way against ACC opponents. We're gonna have to start playing a lot better. I think we got hurt a little last night that Cleare was unable to really go, hopefully he'll get healthy and give us another presence inside.Sure run, but thats easier said than done. Our half court offense has huge issues. The edge we had on the glass has been negated these last two games at least the last game and a half. (I missed the first half of the FSU game). That dominance on the glass appears to have really been covering up a very poor half court offensive team.
I also think Pe'shon has played his way down to the 10th man in the rotation, behind even Aronhalt. It was one thing when he wasn't scoring but still getting the offense running. Now he's not scoring and contributing only by occasionally just throwing the ball out of bounds instead of directly to the other team for a fast break. Allen has struggled with turnovers as well, but at least there is some hope that he'll improve with more time at the point, and he has the ability to score.

33 points in the second half is pretty weak by itself, not to mention the amazingly inept 14 points in the first half.
The offense couldn't possibly be playing worse than it is right now. It's brutal to watch. They looked amazing against VT, so hopefully they can get this fixed. The biggest change that is possible, IMO, is less Pe'shon and Allen improving his play. Also gotta start getting a better offensive half-court set. Get the ball to the big guys in better scoring opportunities.

What we saw last night was a team that was not used to being tested by quality opponents. The big men looked gassed early in the game, and the Terps really struggled to get the ball into the low post. Alex Len needs stronger hands and needs to be MUCH more physical. At times it looks like he is playing volleyball out there. He likes to tap the ball around rather than haul it in.
Pe'Shon Howard is really struggling. He hasn't reached double digits once this season, which has really hurt the Terps. They need a scoring point guard out of him. Initially I was okay with this because he lead the team and the ACC in assists. But he is turning the ball over a lot. In fact, Maryland is the worst in the ACC in turnover margin.
The last point I'll make is that it is really hard for these kids to get in a rhythm with Turgeon's substitution strategy. He has much more depth than last year obviously, but I think we are seeing too many mass substitutions. The starting lineup is still not completely set and and his substitution methods are constantly changing. It would be nice to start getting consistent minutes out of the same group of guys and help these guys build some momentum.
Unfortunately, the Terps are about to embark on a tough stretch that includes NC State, UNC and Duke...

I agree. I mean, he is right... but again, no need to be so harsh to your former team. But oh well, didn't really bother me much if i'm being honest. It's a shame to hear what Terrell Stoglin had to say about his former team, even if there was truth to it. Maturity was never his strong suit so I'll leave it at that.
It did make me wonder if there was some bad blood there with him and Turge.

Point Guard play has been awful as of late. They also need a boost from the #4 spot. I've also noticed that entries into the post have been pretty poor which is another reason this offense has issues. Len should touch the ball most trips and then if he draws attention he can hit cutters, spot shooters or hit players stepping up.
Motion offenses have a tendency to go through slow stretches especially with a young team. It will get better.
