The Tigers are leading James Madison at halftime, 34-27.

The last two weeks have made me more and more disappointed in myself that I didn't go to more games this year. Jerrelle Benimon is a fantastic college player. There was a nice article on him on Deadspin today.

Could he be drafted?

Im at the game. Its $9 for a beer. And you have to drink in a designated beer garden on the first floor. Ummm....professional teams are fairer than that. WTF????

Yeah! And the arena is at about 20% capacity. You would think they would want to attract a crowd for Northeastern v. Drexel. I like college ball, and ill watch Towson but my friend and I aren't sticking around for College of Charleston v. William and Mary on a Friday night for $9 beers in a segregated area where you can't see the game.

I'm a big proponent of family sections at sporting events so that people who want to avoid this kind of stuff can. As you noted, it was only at 20% of capacity so no reason this "problem" couldn't have been remedied.

Tough finish to a very good season. 23-10 and only two season removed from a 1 win season.Next year Coach Skerry will need to restock the cupboard as he'll need to replace several Seniors. Hopefully they can get an invite to a post-seaosn tourney.

Really hoping for an NIT invite. Maybe the story combined with a (likely) nearby opponent in Maryland will get them the nod.

The NIT tends to take teams from the "bigger" conferences, I'd say a CBI or CIT bid is 100% a lock..NIT would be really cool though.

There's an NIT Selection Show, I don't think there's a CBI or CIT one.

The CAA regular-season champion, if they don't win the tournament and get the NCAA auto bid, receive one to the NIT.

Since Delaware won both, I wonder if that will have an effect.

EDIT: I looked it up. The last time the regular-season champion won the CAA tournament (Old Dominion in 2010) the #2 and #3 teams (Northeastern and William and Mary) both made the NIT.

interesting point, I hope so.

I do really like that rule, Vermont, High Point, and a few others lost early in their tourneys, and will get a bid.

Probably opens a spot for the next NIT "bubble team."

FWIW and this is a few days old, Towson isn't even being considered on Bracket Matrix on here for an NIT spot

Not promising then..

I think they can make a run in one of the smaller tourneys to be honest. Hope so.

Any other NIT bracketology sites out there? I hope there are CBI/CIT ones as well.

Congrats to the seniors, especially Benimon. I wish they could have had a postseason game to finish things off.

Hell of a year.

CIT. They play Wednesday at the University of South Carolina Upstate. They're the OTHER school in Spartanburg, after Wofford.

Towson won their first-ever postseason game tonight, beating USCU 63-60. Apparently it was tied and headed for OT when Four McGlynn threw up a halfcourt prayer as time expired that went in.
