That Arena will be rocking when filled. TU up 4 with 23 seconds left... horrible TU foul.

Yep - nice and cozy, and angled toward the floor. I like the fan friendly design. Looks quite nice for a non-basketball school like Towson, I like it.

Do you rush the court?
Torrey Smith is here
College kids should rush whenever they feel it. Even the programs that have been there, done that... for many students, always a first time. (I do understand argument of safety concerns though.)

Should have been able to fill the Arena with students alone tonight.
You don't build a new arena to give away all of the tickets

Coach K would have a fit... all the more reason to do it... a lot.

By the way, I think I was wrong with the student section from last week: they do have the area behind the one basket in addition to the upper deck.
Which means that the student tickets have assigned individual sections, which is stupid

Well, yeah. If he lost to Towson, even on the Tigers' home floor, he'd go apoplectic

Have to get people there at first, and build a following / demand... show people they can have fun being there. TU has to have around 20k students (EDIT 22k)... less of a commuter school then it was... plenty of grads in the area... but people don't care...
That said, the students there are having fun. Good for them. Good for TU for investing into the program with the new Arena, Unitas Stadium before that... and with Ambrose and his football coaching staff. They are certainly upping their profile.
Get back to the NCAAT this year, and they can really start to get more attention locally.

You're not wrong, but they spent a lot of money on that arena, and dag nabbit they are going to get that cash back

Really underrated story how this program has completely transformed in two years.
Absolutely incredible.
They might beat Villanova Sunday.

More importantly, they might not be embarrassed by Kansas next Friday

They opened against Kansas two years ago. This time, I think it will be a little closer than 100-54.

I love these "rush" debates and what constitutes it. I don't think there's a clear answer here -- case-by-case basis.

What would constitute not being being embarrassed, the game within 25?

Down 55-27 at Kansas. No shame getting blown out there. They were down 49-16 at half-time, see if they can play closer to even in the 2nd half.
