I saw that Jim Harbaugh may be interested in leaving Michigan for the Jets job. It would be a good move for the Jets IMO as it’s a difficult job for a young coach in the big apple.

Coming off Gase’s tenure, the Jets are reportedly looking for an alpha dog coach, someone with a strong personality and name recognition.
Whether or not that’s the right approach to take might not matter. It’s also worth noting that team owner Woody Johnson adores Jim Harbaugh. While he has kept his hands out of football operations recently, serving as the United States ambassador to the United Kingdom under the President Trump administration, that could change with President-elect Joe Biden taking over in January.
And
Harbaugh certainly brings name recognition and he would have no issue with the New York media. The 57-year-old coach is reportedly thinking about an NFL return and is already receiving interest from clubs.
In fact, an unidentified team is already doing extensive background work on him.

Jets are a difficult job for so many reasons, but Harbaugh might be able to turn them around like he did with SF since they were pretty terrible for a long time.

The Jets would be a challenge
Definitely. With Woody Johnson as owner, I don't know why anyone would want to go there.

Sacrificial Joe. But he's had success against Miami, maybe he'll light it up. Jets have some real nice pieces. Elijah Moore is the real deal and coming on strong. Good young backfield too.

Another case of the ole coordinator having the opposite effect as a coach thing in the NFL. Saleh comes in, very strong D Coordinator in SF... Defense with NYJ is 32nd in the NFL, while the offense seems to be getting better as the year goes on. Although they aren't ranked good either. Clearly a talent issue, but I still find that funny. Happens all the time.
So long as they don't give the job back to Wilson, that offense could finish top 15 by the end of the season. If White gets healthy.
