Thanksgiving week!  The best holiday of the year.  
Hope you are all able to enjoy with your families and friends.

Smoked a turkey for Friendsgiving yesterday.  First time we've hosted in the new house, so nice having all the extra space since we have so many kids running around now.  Making stock from the smoked bones today which will become turkey gumbo later on this week.

I’m hosting and got a filet from the butcher for everyone coming.

Making stops at both our families. Only 10 minutes apart, so minimal driving, maximum food. We are smoking our Turkey. Excited to try that.

Had turkey gumbo last night, with stock and meat from the leftover smoked turkey I did last weekend for Friendsgiving. It's on the very short list for my favorite thing I make. Super dark roux this year, it was excellent.
