People can be concerned about both. This is what I find humorous. O's fans make points about other teams "aging players' as a reason why the O's could be better than that team. Yet the two SP the O's signed this winter are both older than that.
1. A 35 year old from Japan with zero ML experience.
2. A 41 year old.
Are you going to tell me that Judge is likely to falter quicker at his age because he plays in the field vs a SP?
Judge has been healthy lately. Earlier in his career he wasn’t. Maybe he’s taken care of himself better. But people as large as him generally seem to break down earlier.
Also, I am more convinced that our replacements (like Suarez, Povich) can be closer to what Morton and Sugano might be expected to give us, than whatever the Yankees have to replace a 10 WAR player in the lineup.

I think the starting pitching on this team is going to be bottom 10 in MLB by year's end. Bottom 5 is possible. Too much injury possibility and possibility for underperformance with absolutely no reinforcements aside from Suarez.
Im telling you right now. If you dont stop with the hot take BS Im going to light your ass up all year. Especially the stuff that isnt true. Saying we have absolutely no reinforcements outside of Suarez is the dumbest thing Ive ever read

First of all, I don't give a flying F if you "light my ass up" all year. Everyone has opinions. Everyone is wrong frequently, including you. Get a life.Im telling you right now. Secondly, who are their reinforcements? Who can you look to and say "that guy could step in and adequately fill in when a starter inevitably misses extended time."

You arent gonna act up in the Os section. Ill tell you that right now. The Os have some of the best SP depth in baseball

"Act up?"
I'm not a child and you're not my dad.
Who is their depth? Name names.

The Orioles have a lot of OK in the rotation.
There's depth, but I don't see a lot of quality.

I'm not high on Povich or McDermott, but those two and Suarez are legitimate options. Going into a year with them 6-8 is fine. The Orioles have a lot of OK in the rotation.

I'd guess Rogers is ahead of both young guys.

You have Suarez, Rogers, Povich. As 6-8. Thats clearly better than most. McDermott and Young are 9-10. We wont even bring up the fact that Wells and Bradish will eventually be lurking.

Yep, just forgot about him. Agree he would be.

The argument that can be made is the O's went for too much quantity and not enough quality in the rotation. I'll hear that argument. Some donkey saying we dont have any depth is the stupidest thing I've heard in 2025.There are 2 posters here who constantly battle for the worst takes

Lots of names. Very little ability.

Suarez is a major league pitcher. Povich had a negative WAR last year and his stuff looks fat and hittable. Rogers (and I defended that move mind you) was downright horrendous last season. The argument that can be made is the O's went for too much quantity and not high enough quality in the rotation. Just because you have bodies physically capable of throwing enough pitches to occupy the SP role doesn't mean they give you any meaningful chance to win. Maybe those guys step up and play better, but going into the season with a rotation made up of:
- A Tommy John case waiting to happen
- A 35 year old Japanese pitcher who has never thrown a pitch in MLB
- A 41 year old journeyman
- Kremer
- Eflin
Is not a rotation anyone is afraid of.

This is what you always say when you don't really have a meaningful response.

Should I go to my room and think about what I've done?
