Ichiro is the only shoe-in.

I suppose CC Sabatthia will make it and Andruw Jones is deserving but everyone else mentioned is borderline for me.

Manny Ramirez and Alex Rodriguez shouldn't even be in the discussion but they let Ortiz in which they never should have.

Beltran had more WAR than Dave Parker at 29, then played 11 more years, some of them very good. That’s the standard now, he has to be in.

CC has 3000 K's, a Cy Young and won a World Series as the team's #1 starter, he prob won't get in with like 95% but I'll be floored if he isn't first-ballot

I’m a “big hall” guy because basically the toothpaste is out of the tube. You can’t kick guys out who already got in.

My ballot:

Ichiro
Arod
Manny
Andruw Jones
Beltran
Sabathia
Utley
Bobby Abreu

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

1. Bobby Abreu
2. Carlos Beltran
3. Felix Hernandez
4. Andruw Jones
5. CC Sabathia
6. Ichiro Suzuki
7. Chase Utley
8. Billy Wagner

Jay Jaffe mentioned in his article and I think it's a good position to take on the matter: if you ever got a major suspension for cheating you shouldn't be in the HOF, but if you didn't then it's fair game, so no A-Rod or Manny but Beltran makes it even if he was pretty involved in the Astros trash cans

He was the architect for the Trashtros Scandal, which will cost him votes.

Also Adam Jones got 3 votes, not enough to stay on the ballot but still neat for him

Ichiro missed 100% by one vote. Joke.

Wagner was one of the best, maybe top 2 closers in baseball for a decade and a half. I know people don't like relief pitchers in the HOF, but I'll allow it.

There's always got to be that one jerk who feels the need to make a statement by being the dissenting voice.

Sabathia being a 1st ballot guy is laughable.

The voting process is much better now overall but for me Im only putting a higher tier of player on my first ballot. Sabathia wasnt that

Sabathia being a 1st ballot guy is laughable.

I get people on an Orioles board won't happily praise a Yankee but I don't know how someone with 3000 K's, 250 wins and a Cy Young isn't an obvious HOFer

He isnt a 1st ballot guy. The precedent has been set. Many pitchers who were better didnt sniff 1st ballot induction. It matters to me

HOF voting is stupid in general so I don’t care when someone gets in as long as they do and Sabathia deserves it.
