Hyde gave this game away. Why I don't know.
Cuz this game means less than setting the playoff rotation the way they want to set it.

I don’t think Burnes throwing 82 pitches instead of 69 changes anything next week.

It will be an interesting question for Hyde. May have been Burnes call

This.
Either Burnes is hurt or Hyde going to Hyde and blow another game. Neither option is good

Perez is scary. Soto is now ahead of him for me as a lefty

And what, Burnes was going to finish the 6th after 13 pitches? You don't know that the same thing doesn't happen with the BP anyway.
I think it's far more realistic they're envisioning a scenario where they need to rely on Burnes for 105-110 pitches in his WC start.

Burnes was in the dugout arguing to stay in the game. Hyde pulled him any way after 69 pitches. He conceded this game way too prematurely. I don't know what he's thinking.

He's thinking of the postseason, envisioning Burnes' next start where they don't need to rely on the middle relief section of the BP.
Of course, that's just a guess.

Did these guys mention that MC Hammer once was an Oakland A's ballboy?

Burnes was pulled to limit his load before Game 1 on 4-days rest. Seems obvious guys, come on. Fair to criticize the move as unnecessary or a misplaced priority of next week over clinching today, but it's not a mystery.
That's normal rest. He could have gone another inning. We always over think it as an organization. Very frustrating.

Yes, he could've gone another inning.
He also might've given up an 11 pitch walk and a broken bat single, and exited after 18 pitches, only to watch the BP meltdown just the same.
They erred on the side of aligning their rotation for the playoffs. That's not overthinking it.
