Does anybody think they want Peyton to retire?

No, they are built to win now. He's still a top QB when healthy. Make one more run with Peyton. If he is healthy, you're still a lock to make the playoffs.

If he is not healthy, I think he'll walk away on his own.

Well, in that case, either they're rolling the dice or else they think he's gonna quit anyway... and unless they think his injury is a hard-to-heal thing, I doubt if they think he's gonna quit anyway...

He was 0-for on attempts over 15 yards in the last preseason game.

As a Demaryius Thomas FF owner I am worried about his production.

I don't think Manning will be able to stay productive/competitive over a 16 game season.

This will be his last season.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

I think the quad injury impacted the throwing in the 2nd half. I think he will post strong numbers. I think in the playoffs, and colder weather... the arm strength will factor.  Kubiak can help if they have more of a balanced offense.

The line injuries don't help either, but of course with Manning's quick release... he mitigates that worry.

If he's going to look really good, figures to be early... so does kind of suck that that Ravens face them Week 1.  Getting that head-to-head road win right away would be sweet.

I think they are still going to be a very good team early. Who knows come December and January. Would be shocked if they dont do enough to make the playoffs and are still the favs in that division IMO. 10-12 win reg season.

I'm with this. I see Manning have a strong regular season. He looked bad to end last season with the leg injury.

O-line concerns aren't the biggest deal with him due to his release.

We will see where their ground game and defense is.  If the offense can play head, obviously will help the defense pin their ears back.

Ultimately there will be questions in late December (and the playoffs if they get there) about Manning's ability to win in the cold, and wind with his diminished arm strength.

Defense is good. Kubiak should have a successful run game and the Mathis signing was smart but still, that Oline is a concern.

I trust Kubiak and Dennison fully to produce an effective running game. I think that takes some pressure off Peyton. I think you'll see his passing numbers fall back from a total yards perspective. Still will be efficient.

I think they are a notch below their last few regular seasons but still a quality team. This should be a toss up next week IMO.

If Kubiak can get that run game going with that line, get Peyton to throw less, I think they have a better shot than last season.  That defense has better personnel this year, and Wade is really good as a DC.

Interesting that Ball got released.  I wonder if he winds up with Dallas.
