Any other team, and losing Weller might hurt. Something tells me the Broncos dont miss a beat.

I think it was that show that made UMD take Art Attack from The Mall to Byrd.  I remember there seemed to be a lot non-UMD students at that show and remember walking near the back of The Mall and seeing what almost looked like dog-fighting.  I think after that UMD officials were like, "Uh, lets move this to Byrd and make students get free tickets in the future."

Yeah it all went downhill from there. I lived across the street on College Ave at the time, and I remember when I left it was kinda just a debacle everywhere.

When I first heard about the amphetamine suspension, my thought was, "Well, I guess he needed to take something to get back from the concussions."

That said, imagine that: taking an illegal drug that is known for being mixed with other random chemicals while at a large party gathering might be an issue!

Wes Welker suspended for Adderall use, not MDMA

Denver Broncos slot receiver Wes Welker was suspended four games by the NFL for violating the performance-enhancing drug policy, but not for using MDMA (also called "Molly"), as originally reported. Instead, Welker was banned for Adderall, according to CBS insider Jason La Canfora.

I think he'll be back for another year.

You can't expect him to throw 600 times next year. He doesn't need to be a game manager but I think his days as a MVP caliber passer are over. I think he can still be a playoff caliber QB with a strong running game.

He recently said he wanted to play until he sucked. Well -- he did suck the last 4 games of the season and no one would blame him if he walked away but I think he looks at the entire season he just had -- 39 TD, 15 INT, 4,700 YDS -- and comes back one more time.

I'm leaning towards him walking away. This is interesting in that if this were any other sports they would try to manage him. Hed sit out games and rest for a playoff run.

You just can't afford to give games away in the NFL.

I think he's cooked.  Zero arm strength.  Unless they want to turn into the dink and dunk Patriots.  What is he, 39 next year?

I think he feels pressure to come back and try to win one more and there is still a lot of talent around him. They could conceivably get to the SB with him managing the game.

Is his pride to much though for him to turn into more of a game manager?? Pride vs a realistic shot at a title.

We play at Denver next year and I would have zero worry about going in there against Old Man Manning.  I really think he's done -- either that or he was hiding an injury.  He was putrid down the stretch.

Manning played with torn quad the last month.

That explains it.

Yup. If he's healthy he'll be back. Again, I'm sure the Broncos and Peyton would love to manage his PT next year and protect him as much as possible but I don't know how feasible that is.

Ah ok.  So yea, not fair to throw dirt on his grave yet.  See how he looks healthy next year.

John Fox has been fired. If they hire Mike Shanahan, I'm going to laugh hysterically.
