Seems like a lot of plus grades being given more on quantity and potential fixes than actual current performance.

So they gave up Johnson AND Chace for Soto? Stupid.

Decent chance neither make an impact, but I'd rather hold onto pitchers with Chace potential.

We needed a lefty. He has a year left. Coulombe might not be back and Perez sucks

Missed that Chance was included, but I still do that trade.

IMO Jimenez is the flier who just might free the O’s from feeling they need Santander’s bat next season.

Jimenez is strictly a DH.

Hes owed 16.5 mil next year and is a DH. He would have to be lights out the rest of the way to have his option picked up. But hes just not gonna get enough ABs to make a big impact

We should take a poll right now. Who is more likely to be on the O's next season. Santnader or Jimenez?

I would vote 10 times for Santander and never even think about Jimenez.  This is a joke. Urias has a higher OPS than this dude. Can't believe we got this dude.

Now starting tomorrow I'll be his biggest fan. But tonight? Good grief what a joke.

Jimenez is just here to hit LHP for 2 months. Nothing more.

Big dude with big power. Not strictly a LH masher, but he'll have a role VS LHP.

Can’t field. Can’t run. Always injured. Not hitting this year and was just ok last year. Plus he’s going to cost 16M next year if we pick up his option. Who’s going to free us of Eloy Jimenez. Everyone would say this guy was worthless if the Yankees picked him up.

Will DH a bit but more likely a RH bat to match up with off the bench. Some OHearn/Mounty injury insurance too. But considering how few ABs he is likely to get for the Os to take on 5 or 6 mil that shows me something about ownership. This was a straight salary dump and the Os were the ones to do take on the bad contract

Mister masher has 5 homers in 249 PA this year. Phew!

I’m sure the WS can’t believe they were able to dump him. They would have paid him 3M this winter not to come back.

91% and 93% in exit velocity and hard hit %. Elite. Very good barrel %. O's have done a good job with these kinds of guys lately (O'Hearn).

Exactly but its a much needed RH bat for a contender for 2 months. Paid 5ish mil for it. Something Angelos never wouldve done.

I think I saw somewhere the Orioles got cash as part of that deal. Maybe it was the $3M they'll pay him to cut him loose after the season.
