2019 and 2020 could go down as two of the best draft classes in history, but we're paying for largely ignoring pitching in those early Elias drafts.

He did try to remedy that with the Bundy trade and Jorge Lopez trade.

To be fair, they're on pace for 100+ wins for their second straight season. I'm not sure how steep the price is that they're paying for drafting so well.

The pitching is in this place because of the rash of injuries. They have the pieces to fix it. Let's see what they can do.

You watch a lot of minor league baseball?

No I don't watch any. Don't even care about MiL baseball except as it translates to players at the ML level. So surely you have orders of magnitude more knowledge on this.

 

All I am saying is that I look at what we have brought up from AAA. I look at the horrible pitching at AAA. And that doesn't give me a warm fuzzy. Shoot I hope to be 100% wrong! But when we bring up a guy like Baker who was trash at AAA this year its pretty hard to get positive vibes!

Well yeah, we can all agree Baker sucks haha. I just think there's a difference between depth/AAAA arms (which are important too over the course of a season) and the guys with real potential.
