Hopefully a trade can occur after the ASB.

Just one of those games. Take Gunnar and Adley out.
Saw an interesting stat today in this regard. In 2019, when the Orioles lost 108 games, they beat the Cleveland Indians on consecutive days by 13-0 scores on June 28 and 29. Cleveland would go on to win 93 games that season.

A sac fly when you're down by 12 is like winning 10 cents in the lottery.
Trouble is, the A's are on pace to score 40 runs right now.

Povich certainly hasn't overpowered anyone coming into today, but he at least battled and kept the team in games. Enough for them to win. I'm tempted to chalk this one up to "one of those outings" that even the best pitchers experience at some point. I do think Povich's stuff can play at the major league level, but he needs to head back to Norfolk and learn how to command his pitches. And if he's intimidated by the hitters at this level, he needs to get over that real fast. Hopefully, it won't destroy his confidence, but they need to work on his control. Otherwise, he has no chance.

We've been outscored in this series 19-7 thus far, yet the worst we can do after today is a split of the first two games.

When was the last time the Orioles have given up this many runs in a game?

September of 2018 when we gave up 19 to Boston.

We're down by 11 but have only three fewer hits than Oakland.

19 earned runs are going to put a big hurt on the team ERA.

Closing the gap! Next nine guys get on and we bring the tying run to the plate!
Or not.
Eight runs on 16 hits and never in the game. At least it happened in Oakland, so not many people actually witnessed it live.
