Sitting Adley on July 4th and bringing in Baker to face Julio in the bottom of the 7th of a tie game. I don’t understand giving away baseball games just for the hell of it.

Julio Rodriguez was basically preening when he said his hand was sore, and forced the manager and trainer to walk 2/3 of a mile out to deep CF to tend to his whimpering. 

 

He crushed that pitch. If he were hurting, he doesn't generate that kind of contact.

Definitely weird. Used Webb, Perez, and Kimbrel on Tuesday and Wednesday so they're unavailble too.

Baker too much of a headcase. Stuff is good, but not there mentally. Dude is a nervous wreck on the mound.

I'd have liked it see at least another batter or two for Burnes given the short pen. Only 94 pitches. Maybe he gets burnt again by Rodriguez but I'd take my chances.
