I always thought that was a strikeout.

I think they were scoring it to make sense of what the umpire saw.

Groundout

James McCann grounds out to catcher Danny Jansen.

James McCann out on batter interference.

1 Ball 94.8 mph Sinker 1-0

2 Foul 95.3 mph Four-Seam Fastball 1-1

3 In play, outs 87.3 mph Changeup

From what I saw, McCann swung and missed for strike two, and Jansen ran through McCann while McCann was standing in the batters box (entirely) to try to catch Cowser stealing 2nd.

If the umpire thinks he hit a nubber just past home plate, then yeah, McCann is out for interference, but that's not what happened.

It's still scored that way too, btw.

Won't see one hit much harder and further than Mountcastle just did.

Ryan could be MVP if he just played Toronto.

Texted my sons with a plan. Have Mountcastle hypnotized before every game so he thinks we are in Toronto.

Feels inevitable he signs there as a FA in a couple years.

Can’t believe Burnes only has 4 K’s through 6. He’s so mid.

Last night top 3 go 2-15 and the rest of the order carries the 7-rtun weight.

Tonight top 3 account for the 7 runs and the rest of the lineup takes the night off.

How many runs would they score if the whole lineup hit during the same game!!

Honestly, I'm ok breaking them up like the last 2 games.

I think Mack mentioned this recently. Its impressive how when the Os lose they are usually in tight games. Dont get boatraced often. On the other hand have more than their fair share of blowouts. Obviously a sign of a really good team. Its how the run diff gets high. Something a lot of us were expecting this year but its good to see they are living up to the lofty expectations.

Long dinner time tonight…

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty
