SI: Trevor Bauer Is More Concerned With Being Right Than Being Liked
I think he wants people to hate him, and I think he's doing a very good job of it. He's a real tool.

I like Clevinger, but his team had runners on 1st and 2nd and chose not to bunt them over.
Personally, I don't like the rule. I think it's kind of dumb, but both teams are playing with the same rule and both teams knew it before the game started. It is what it is.
Funny comment from Stark (Jason, not Tony)
The strangest but truest extra inning of the year:
The Royals managed to score a run in the 10th today - despite zero official at-bats!
Ghost runner on 2nd.
Sac bunt
Sac fly.
Walk.
Runner thrown out stealing.
Baseball! (In 2020!)

Didin't see anyone note it here, but apparently Cleveland starters Plesac and Clevinger don't believe the rules apply to them as they went out on the town in Chicago.
Plesac was apparently caught and dismissed (had to drive home separately from the team) and Clevinger was defending him in the clubhouse and then HE got on a plane with the team before they figured out he was out with Plesac.
Great accountability dumb asses.

The players are certainly living under different rules.

Some of their teammates are PISSED too. Cause Carrasco was just getting over Leukemia last year and is super vulnerable and they went out, tried to lie about it, and then one of them knowingly exposed the whole team.
It's one thing to think it's BS yourself. It's a completely different story to not give others around you a choice.

Yea, a very bad look for the two of them.

You'd think the idea that you could let down your teammates would weigh on guys and their decision making.

Yeah you shouldn't do it regardless, but the Carrasco situation really makes you wonder what the hell they were thinking

Cleveland has optioned both pitchers to the alternate camp, off the 28.

...so I think Rob was the first one to mention this guy, and I've been talking about acquiring him for several years....but Indians' prospect Triston McKenzie makes his debut tonight.
Probably be checking in on him some tonight versus Detroit.

Wow, this seems like an Erik Bedard-like haul for the Tribe. Especially getting rid of a guy that has been ostricized by his teammates for his Covid-related partying.
