Doesn't look good.  Storms are going to be moving up from the south all afternoon/evening.  I was thinking this morning that they would play but now I have my doubts.

I know one thing. I had work outside for a few hours. I wouldn't go to the park to watch if they somehow played.

Kinda crazy they haven't called it yet. Think that tells us how much they hate all of the remake options and they're gonna try to wait out the big cell and play a late afternoon, almost normal evening game.  I can't recall a 4-hour delay.

My guess is they’re giving it an hour or so to see if the above holds up, but if it does they’ll play. If conditions further worsen that’ll be that. But a 5:40-6 PM start time isn’t not viable.

KC doesn't have to play until 6:40 CT tomorrow, so I'm sure they will go until midnight if they have to to get this game in.

I can't recall a game time changing because of weather forecast before.  I know you said Philly just did it, though, so obviously it can happen.  Given that, I'm surprised they didn't change it.  Maybe the O's did but got denied?  Can't think of why KC or MLB would refuse but I know the O's can't just change the time by more than 30 minutes without approval of the other parties.

It could be that the O's wanted to push the start back, but the Royals balked, cuz it's not their fans that are getting inconvenienced, and they wanna get out of BWI ASAP.

Can’t imagine ownership being involved that level, especially given how Rubenstein has described what his role in this all will look like.

I do think a rescheduling of game time would’ve been prudent and think whoever is in charge screwed that up pretty royally. I’d be pissed if I were down there since noon or so for this. As I’m sure the concession workers and ushers are too. But yes, a lot we don’t know. KC has a say in it.
