Let's just take it one game at a time and worry about the pitiful Giants this Sunday.

Sure, one at a time.

Nothing tempts the football gods into screwing your team more than disrespecting your opponent.

Remember when they faced Cleveland and all the jokes about how bad they were?

Don't assume anything.

Can't even fathom the collective meltdown if they lost to the Giants.

You should find a few more threads to remind us that we lost to the Browns. The WWE thread has been pretty dormant for a while.

What's the biggest upset in NFL history?  16.5 is a huge line, especially for a home dog.  I was expecting double digits but not quite that big.

In terms of point spread, I'd say the biggest is still Super Bowl III. I can't find any documentation for in-season games, though.

Didn't quite make the upset, but 2007 Ravens should have beat the Pats -18.5.

Yeah give him his own thread so he can talk to himself. Like how Trea made that website for himself and 1 other person to post to each other

The Ravens most likely need to go 4-0 and have the Steelers lose at least 3 games to win the division. The only tie breaker that favors the Ravens if they both finish 12-5 is if the Steelers losses are to the Ravens and the Bengals.

Looks that way.  I did not realize the Steelers hosted KC.  I thought it was the other way around.  If they somehow beat the Eagles Sunday, they are almost a lock to win the division.  I don't hold out much hope that they lose to Cincinnati on the last day of the season.  By then Cincy will be eliminated and unless Burrow has some personal achievements to play for he might not even play as both his wrist and knee have been banged up the last several weeks.

Ravens need the Steelers to lose these next 3 games.  Big game to watch is this week's game between Buffalo and Detroit.  If Detroit wins that KC game at the Steelers might not mean much.  Ravens need KC to not clinch the top seed by that week.

Yeah, Pitt has a good chance at this point. Two weeks ago was pretty big. They get a divisional win over Cin and we lose to Phi. We def need that KC in Pitt game to mean something.

Yes, those are the paths. Steelers drop another division game and we win the 2nd tiebreaker or we just beat them outright.

Steelers schedule is tough with games against Philly and KC. They win both then they deserve the division. Split and then they just need to take care of business against Cincy. Lose both and then it's down to our head-to-head.

I just looked at a tie at 11-6 and the Steelers still hold the tie breakers whether our loss is to the Giants or the Texans. It definitely looks like win out or pray for a Bengals upset even though I'm not that worried about playing the AFC south winner on the road in the wildcard round.

The biggest difference in getting that 3rd seed is that you might get another home game if there's an upset.

Have to hope Cincinnati is healthy and has something to play for by the final week. They could easily run the table - they've got Tennessee, Cleveland, and Denver before their final game with Pittsburgh.

The wild cards are wide open when you look at how many of those teams play one another. There's definitely a chance the Bengals could still be alive in week 18 at 8-8.

I've used the ESPN playoff machine and it's not impossible to get the Bengals in, but it's definitely a very tough road for that to happen.  Problem is that all of the teams they are trying to jump not only play each other, but have easy games left.  In addition to Denver, the Chargers have Tampa, New England and Las Vegas.  Denver has the toughest schedule with Indy, LA, Cincy, and KC left.  Indy has the easiest road with Denver, Tennessee, Giants, and Jacksonville left.  Miami has Houston, SF, Cleveland, and Jets left.

The best Cincinnati can end up is 9-8.  They don't own the tiebreaker on Baltimore or LA so each of those teams can win 1 more and eliminate Cincinnati from two of the WC spots.  Given the schedules it is highly unlikely that either Baltimore or LA loses out.  If Denver beats the Colts, Cincinnati still needs either the GIants or Jacksonville to beat them.  Denver losing out seems like the best possibility, but their week 18 game is at home against KC.  Only if KC is still trying for the #1 seed does that game matter.  But for KC to still need that game it might mean Pittsburgh has to beat them which goes against the Ravens.

It takes a lot of dominoes to fall in place for Cincinnati to get in, and nearly as many for them to still be alive in week 18.  When Cincinnati looks back at their season they are going to look at the New England loss in their opener and the OT loss to the Ravens as the two games that wrecked their season.  A bad snap on an OT winning FG likely cost them the playoffs.

The 2 key games are the Buccaneers beating the Chargers and the Colts beating the Broncos. If those 2 results happen the wildcard gets really tight in the last 3 games.

I think the AFC north comes down to Chritmas Day. I can see the other games being chalk. Four teams playing on short rest and every team playing for something. I'm pulling for the road favorites but it's a close call in both games.

OBJ released by the Dolphins... did nothing for Miami...  did average 16.1 yards per catch on his 35 grabs last year.

Seems like an easy call to pick him up and drop Johnson.

I haven't paid attention to him this year, but only played 20% of snaps, 9 catches for 55 yards in 9 games. Seems like he's done. But still probably better than Johnson, sure, no problem with upgrading that roster spot assuming he won't be a problem due to the role.

Don't think he's better than Agholor or Wallace anymore. If he's happy to be the #5, then sure. Can't let Johnson suit up again.

Is it just me or is the guy from SF catching more heat than Johnson was for not going into the game?

Crazy.  I'd never heard of that happening before, now twice in a few weeks.  If you get hurt during the game or warmups and then can't go in, that's fine.  But just declining to play for any reason, when you didn't make that known before the game when they could've deactivated you, is just insane.  No team should ever sign either of these guys ever again.  Your career is over.
