Some of us have been speculating that the operation may not be clean. Interesting take here

I'm sure they know this in detail if something is off with the snap or hold. We finally get an out of the world offense and now we're dealing with deficiencies that have come out of nowhere. Insane.

Rapoport said tests were as positive as could be hoped. So hopefully won’t miss much time.
With the extra rest and the fact that he appears to be a quick healer I bet he plays against the Steelers.

I think they know it but Stout is inconsistent with the holds. This is not to let Tuck off the hook either. But it makes sense. Hes missing left consistently. The ball has funny movement on it. Just something the Joe fan never thinks of that it goes beyond Tuck. Found it really interesting

However,Tucker just hasn't been very good this season.
The Ravens are paying a guy a lot of money who is becoming less trustworthy week to week.
Tucker's contract may be a cautionary tale for teams to ponder in the future.
Perhaps with the analytics having teams going for it on fourth down in the opposition's territory has deemphasized the kicking game a bit in the NFL?

Should they kick the tires on Terrell Edmunds?
Outside of Hamilton, I don't know how he could be any worse than what they've been parading out there.

All I could see there for a while was Ferrell Edmunds.

Washington has been very solid. Maybe more of a slot guy than a true safety, though. Definitely can't be worse than the Williams/Jackson combo.

Find it interesting that all of his misses have been to the left, but this video seems like it's splitting hairs to me. Are a couple of inches really going to result in so many misses? Whatever the reason for the slump, I don't think we are going to find a better kicker out on the street and quite frankly even though he's shaky I would still rather have him than some random pickup. For me the earliest I would look to make a change is the start of next season.
Now someone please bookmark this post to show me when I'm furious at him for missing a kick that would send us to the Super Bowl...

Bears just fired their OC who was in his first season with the team. Still would be surprised if the Ravens decide they need a similar decision with Orr, but as more teams make moves perhaps it becomes a little more likely. Hopefully the defense gets their act together and makes the discussion moot, that'd be the best case outcome.

Eberflus is looking like he'll get fired so he has to do something, and their 1st overall pick is being called a bust after putting up under 135 passing yards in 5 of 9 games so they are desperate to salvage something there. I don't think they tell us anything about the Ravens, Harbaugh is loyal to a fault.

Their offensive line is garbage.

If an asteroid hit Owings Mills and Orr was gone, a million percent chance that Pees is the replacement. So... maybe that's good in that he's experienced more and did a good job on Tom Brady in the 2012 AFC champ game. And maybe it's a nothing as it'll just be another one of John's guys keeping the status quo.

I will say this... since basically day one, Tucker has talked about the whole team when it comes to making kicks. Especially the snapper and holder. My gut reaction when he started to struggle more was that it was probably a process issue. Something in the timing and execution of the whole snap, catch, rotate, spot, hold, impact routine. A couple of those clips I can buy in to the possibility. Especially the ones where the ball is a little outside of the expected spot, or it appeared to be leaning back a little. Either one of those I can see causing some pull to the left. The freakish consistency of the NATURE of the misses seem to point to something mechanical that he just hasn't figured out yet... or the spots / holds.
I do suspect that if the Ravens thought it was the snap and/or hold, some sort of personnel change would have shown up by now. But who knows. Maybe it's all of the above. Some bad spots / holds have Tucker in his own head and he's trying to "do too much" dynamically as he strikes to ball. Like the yips. Mental paralysis of sorts.

I agree that if it were the snapper or the holder then that person would be getting hung out to dry. They wouldn't let Ring of Honor, possible Hall of Fame kicker who's one of the faces of the franchise take this heat from fans if it wasn't justified and the true cause of the struggles was a minimum salary nobody. I can see Tucker not throwing the rest of the wolfpack under the bus, but I don't think Harbaugh would shield Stout or (honestly can't remember the long-snapper's name....New Morgan) if he thought they were the reason for the struggles.

I think its everyone involved. The whole group. Sometimes its been the holds. Sometimes Tucker. None of them are consistenty doing their jobs. And yes, its in Tuckers head at this point. Everyone is capable of getting the yips
