Unless the DC taking over as HC results in an improved offense line and new OC, running the offense through Hall could make it actually worse.
We'll see. He's uber talented and did fine his first 3 weeks. I think he will be fine.

Ravens: 30 carries a game not plan for Henry
https://www.espn.com...30-carries-game
46% of the offensive snaps - 6 fewer than Justice Hill.
13 carries.
Now this.
Y'all trashed me for saying it, but they're being very clear. He's in the Gus Edwards role. He was never going to be a focal point of the offense, and he changes very little, if anything, about the offensive identity if the team.
Post of the Year!!!!

We'll see. I'll believe he actually matters if he's hammering home tds in the playoffs. As I've said before, nothing they're doing matters until they prove they can do it when it matters. Time will tell.Post of the Year!!!!

I have to admit though, I think your take on Gunnar is more POTY material than this.

Move the goalposts. Lol. Back to the all that matters is the playoffs take when the reg season takes show you to be a complete fool. But hey at least you backed it up by trading him in fantasy. ROFL. Idiot.

C'mon Slide, His production and running style has enhanced the Ravens' offense. They are doing are great job of ramping up his carries in the second half when the defense is tiring. Further, what they are doing now matters quite a bit. You can't make the playoffs without a successful regular season.

Im just not gonna let this ass get away with it. Literally if you go back in this thread you will see from preseason through Week 2 all he did was hammer Henry, the acquisition of Henry, anything to do with Henry . Just go back and read how obsessed he was with crapping all over the addition. He aint gonna come in here and now be like all that matters is the playoffs when Henry being no better than Edwards and not an impact signing was his whole act for a month. Obviously, no one knows what the future holds. He might have a season ending injury next week. The point is he has absolutely been an impact player. Hes absolutely superior to Gus. So much so that hes leading the odds for OPOY on betting sites.

If Henry wasn't getting the touches he was right now and you said that doesn't matter, just the playoffs that would be consistent. But Sept 9th post focused on his performance in the moment.I've literally been saying that all that matters is the playoffs since last season. There is no goalpost-moving.

Still need to win a bunch in the regular season to make the playoffs for now until the NFL further waters down the playoffs.

Not to tell anyone how to fan, however, your last sentence really strikes home.If Henry wasn't getting the touches he was right now and you said that doesn't matter, just the playoffs that would be consistent. But Sept 9th post focused on his performance in the moment.
And overall while you've consistently said only the postseason matters for the team as a whole, you were dismissive of the Henry acquisition.
Why not just say there is more left in his legs than you expected?
(EDIT, you basically did this in a follow post. Good for you.)
I continue to understand wanting to see the Ravens have postseason success...I don't get not allowing yourself to enjoy the week to week and a new year.
We only get so many seasons as fans.
And most fanbases would kill for this year to year consistency and being relevant.
I think your opinion is i don't want to care and possibly be let down again... but that's life.
Also the inverse...if you don't enjoy the build how could you enjoy it if the Ravens did win the Super Bowl?

The last time the the Ravens won the Super Bowl, they were the final seed and went on that run.
I was at the Denver game where Flacco threw that 100 yard pick six and he had his face in the turf after missing a tackle. Seemingly, no one them a chance to win anything and they went in that run.
The Ravens look like one of the best teams in the league right now, but who knows what's going to happen week to week, much less the playoffs?
The roller coaster ride is part of the fun IMO.
They won the division in 2012. They weren't the last seed.

Henry is on pace for 337 carries. If anything, I'd like to see them back off his usage a bit to save his legs for later in the season. I'm sure they probably already plan on doing that, though. Hopefully Mitchell is back and ready to go by the 3/4 way or so.
Yeah I was looking for them to use Hill more yesterday to ease off of Henry, especially in the first half when Henry wasn't really having much success.
Hill had one attempt. So far he's had 1,5,4,4 and 1.
May want to try to get him the ball a few more times a game. Not sure when Mitchell comes back but he'd be a huge weapon to go with these guys.

This is basically it. I was all the way bought in in 2019 and 2023, and not just the losses, but the *way* they lost, completely soured me on this iteration of the team. They can't be trusted. They shrink from big moments. To me it feels like watching a great movie with a twist ending where the worst possible thing happens. Why subject yourself to that?
It's why sports is the best drama there is.
There are highs and lows.... it's life.
I'm pretty even keel in life, and as a fan.
The most enjoyable wins for me as a fan, have all come after being subjected to some pain.
I think that's true in life in-general as well.
If you are just handed success, it's hard to appreciate.
Sports admittedly is a bit different... there are things in life you to have to subject yourself to.
Sports fandom is not one of them. It's a choice.
If you are checked out or detached as fan that's okay (people going to fan as they want to fan); but I would say one ramification of that is that if your team does later win... you can't have the same elation you would have, had you made the emotional investment.
So, that's the choice.
You got scared from prior losses.
They hurt.
Truth is if you invest, you might get hurt again.
But since you were hurt previously, and those losses mattered to you (because you cared).. I'd suggest allowing yourself to enjoy the process as a whole. Enjoy the week-to-week. And should the Ravens win it all, it will be cathartic.
