He's #2 behind only Mahomes.

Lamar is getting close being on his own tier. Still below Mahomes' tier, but he may be establishing himself as clearly above Allen, Burrow, and any others with a case. Don't think he quite there yet, but think he's solidly the head of that tier and just maybe is on his way to separating entirely from the rest. Long way to go this year, though. Gotta stay healthy and gotta keep the level up.

Fair to say that, in an alternate universe (Mahomes came to Baltimore, Lamar went to KC) and all other things the same (coaching, weapons), we'd be talking Lamar as the clear cut #1 and Mahomes as #2.

For every amazing Mahomes play, Lamar has a highlight of his own (and maybe more).

Lamar is in good position for MVP #3.

Lamar is a winner, plain and simple. Mahomes is a winner. Josh Allen is a winner. Very few QBs out there who simply will their teams every single week. Burrow is slightly above .500 with all his talent and weapons.

When those guys are healthy, their teams are winning way more often than not. Lamar and Allen haven't come through in the playoffs, whatever. Anything can happen in any given game.

Mahomes has pretty pedestrian stats this year, 19th in rating, 20th in QBR, but he’s 4-0 and the clear postseason king so still tier of his own until someone else makes another step.

Still early. But he's been locked in this season.

I've said it since his college days, he is streaky. When he's at his best, there is no one better. And I'm including Mahomes in that. IMO, Lamar's A+ game is better and more dangerous than Mahomes A+ game. I think the difference is consistency. Mahomes brings his A-B game pretty much every week. Rarely does he just play horrible all game. Lamar seems to go through a 2-3 game rough streak where he just can't get anything going every season.

If Lamar stays locked in like this all season, I really wouldn't be surprised at a 2nd unanimous MVP award.

I agree that he's a unicorn. He just does things naturally that other guys can't do.

I'm still keeping Allen in there. I don't know what to think about Burrow. Burrow can't play defense and he's playing out of his mind but he has weapons the other QBs don't, and it's all for naught because their defense can't stop a high school team.

There's Mahomes and then a 2nd tier that includes Lamar, Burrow and Allen. Lamar just beat both of them and climbed to the top of the tier. After that there are some younger Qb's that are going to push the "older" guys in the near future. If Lamar is going to challenge Mahomes he needs another MVP and at least a Super Bowl ring really soon.

There are a few guys Id take above Lamar if Im just focused on winning a ring. There is no one close to him for who Id want to watch QB my team for 17 weeks of the reg season. Hes so damn fun to watch. He makes football appointment tv for me.

Lamar appreciation post. Yup Im doing it again. Guy is still 1 of 1. All these young QBs can be or are great in their own way. Lamar is a unicorn. Hes unique. Hes why I watch.

There's only one human in the NFL who could've pulled off that double stiff arm, scramble, TD pass to Likely. We're lucky to be able to watch Lamar every week

Ehhh Allen can make that. He made a similar stupid play the week before when he found Shakir going into the sideline for like 50. Mahomes could too but i think he jumps on it and tries to draw a flag.

All time I'd add Roethlisberger, but otherwise the list is pretty short.

What Lamar is capable of in the regular season is extraordinary. I don't know why he seems incapable of doing things like that in the postseason.

There's literally nothing I can say that would make you have a different reaction, so I just don't take it into account. People will react how they react. I didn't post during the game thread as requested. There is nothing wrong or inaccurate about anything I said.

So, carry on.

Was always coming. Just busy the last 48 hours kicking himself again for trading Henry and Waddle for Breece rofl Hall.

Not worried at all. Jets made a coaching change and I'm betting they run the offense through Hall, and Henry isn't going to keep getting this many touches, and won't be able to hold up on 30 year old knees. Waddle is literally droppable.

Unless the DC taking over as HC results in an improved offense line and new OC, running the offense through Hall could make it actually worse.
