Amid reports that Michigan have been sniffing around Malik Washington, he doubled down on his commitment to Maryland on Twitter yesterday. He's expected to sign his NLI during the early signing period, which begins on December 4th.

A few hours in, and no Signing Day surprises yet. Maryland officially lists Messiah Delhomme as a safety, as expected. Zymear Smith is still listed as an athlete, with the ability to play running back, wide receiver, or defensive back at the collegiate level.
Additionally, running back Bud Coombs is expected to play as an outfielder for the baseball team in addition to football.

Well, I spoke too soon. Gilchrist has officially signed his NLI with Maryland.Developing situation involving 4-star OL Jaylen Gilchrist. He’s one of only a handful of recruits not to sign their NLI yet, with Georgia and South Carolina sniffing around him the last couple months. Last I heard he was still solid to Maryland, but something to keep an eye on.

Just three commits have yet to sign their NLIs, the Hamond twins and Braheem Battles. I haven’t heard anything on them yet, could simply be sorting out academics or may not be signing until the spring.

4-star EDGE Zahir Mathis (Philadelphia, PA) has committed to Maryland, following a late push ahead of National Signing Day. He had been committed to Ohio State, and chose the Terps over Florida State earlier today. He's ranked as the 12th-best EDGE in the country, and the 3rd-best player from the state of Pennsylvania.

With National Signing Day officially drawn to a close, Maryland finishes with the 25th-ranked high school recruiting class for 2025. This was Mike Locksley's highest-rated class since 2021, and slots in at 8th-best in the conference just behind Nebraska and Washington.
Their ten-player transfer class currently ranks 31st nationally, though there could still be additions made there before the season begins.

Lost around 20, added 10. Should have room and opportunity to present.

They were always going to lose more than they brought in during this cycle due to the new scholarship cap. I haven’t done the math, but at most I’d expect one or two new additions.Should be more additions in the transfer class. Lost around 20, added 10. Should have room and opportunity to present.
