They were always going to lose more than they brought in during this cycle due to the new scholarship cap. I haven’t done the math, but at most I’d expect one or two new additions.

Just 1 or 2?  That would be disappointing to me.

If you have the scholarships available, I'd be hoping for at-least 5 more.

Every OL, DL, and Secondary guy I could find with a pulse would be on my radar.

Bring them all in, with the Class of '25 recruits, and have real competition for spots across the board.

I don’t know what the money situation there is, but if it comes down to choosing between having money for revenue sharing or adding a few extra scholarship players under the new limit, I’ll take the former. Quality > quantity. Of course if they have a shot at a blue chip player, you make an exception, but you typically don’t see that caliber of player in the spring portal window.

Yeah, I think that's fair, but there is quality still out there.

I'd be trying to recreate what Indiana did this past year.

Of course a large part of that was the continuity in coaching bring over as many JMU guys as they did, but they also brought in a bunch of others.

Bring in as much as you can right now, and sort it out in camp.

There is no program building at this point.
It's all year to year.

So, I'm putting the best freshman on the field now, and using their eligibility now, and I'm trying to have as much depth and competition as I can find.
