There were rumblings about this a few weeks ago, but I dismissed them since it’s pretty cut-and-dry that he’s used up all of his eligibility. But these days, I guess you never know.

Perfect example of what I was referring to in the Conference Realignment thread.

 

Not sure what kind of case he'll try to make for another year, but in 2019 with Alabama in two of the 5 games he appeared in he didn't attempt a single pass, it was just handing the ball off to kill the clock. Curious how he and his family felt about him getting in 5 games and thus losing his redshirt season. Maybe he'll try to say Saban did him dirty.

Thing is, he’d need both Locksley and Saban to sign off on an extra year. So not sure blaming Nick would be a winning course of action.

Yeah, but I don't see what other argument he has outside of saying he was forced into a game by his coach, when the two QBs in front of him were not injured, to take meaningless snaps when he would have preferred to take a redshirt season. (and even that might not succeed)

Also worth noting that they’ll be using in-helmet communication in this game. Auburn was also provided with that opportunity, but turned it down due to lack of preparation time with the technology.
