Os finish 23-6 in ST. A few ties as well.
PS.......Cowser finished up ST with an 0-2 day with you guessed it........ 2Ks today.

Am I missing something? Is Hays not a good option for CF if Mullins is down?
Definitely not, he’s barely average in LF. Cowser will back up Mullins.
Nevin can DH vs lefties early and be an easy DFA in a few weeks.

Struck out 17 times in 55 PAs. So again 30ish % in ST which is around what I expect in the reg season. Hes made the team and I hope they actually give him some consistent ABs somehow. Time for him to sink or swim. WOnt find anything out if hes playing once a week.

Hays '23:
+5 DRS
7.7 UZR / 150
0 0AA
Arm remains excellent. 11th in Fielder Runs
His reaction is graded below average, but his route is above average.
Overall, I'd have him slightly above average.
Certainly not a liability as he was being described going into last year (when his defensive numbers plummeted in the 2nd half of '22 when he was playing hurt).
If Cowser is equal or better, great.
Will be his job soon obviously.

The Sun: Orioles prospect Colton Cowser makes club, Ryan McKenna doesn’t as opening day roster takes shape

So I guess they are comfortable with Mateo in CF if it comes to that.

Athleticism only going downhill from here. Cowser will be much better out there and has a similar arm.

Yeah, the athleticism will fall off at some point. Probably not all at once this year.

Honestly, a trade of Hays would probably be my preferred route.

Hopefully they get him a fair amount of playing time while everyone is healthy. I'm skeptical though unless it comes at Hays expense.

Signed Tony Kemp to a $1M major league deal, for some reason. Maton DFAd.
Unless they have some trade in the works this makes no sense. They don't need more infield depth.
