Lecturing about what. STFU if you dont know baseball. Its clear she doesnt.
Melanie Newman lecturing people on twitter. She’s so bad at her job. I hate everyone tonight.

If Cano is going to stay in the closer role, then it's probably better to pitch him more since sinkerballers tend to be more effective that way. His velo looked OK tonight, but everything was up in the zone. And when Cano's pitches are up, he's very hittable (to state the obvious).

The tired sinkerballer becomes more effective as the game wears on.

Or maybe Cleveland is just that team that has the O's number. You can't explain it, it just happens. Haven't they now won 4 out of 5 against the Orioles? Can't explain it. Just need to turn it around. You see it in every sport. A team not as good as the other, but seems to have their number. Weird.
PS. Cano pitched way over his head earlier this year. Find someone else as a closer if Buatista can't return. Cano is way over-rated.

Yep, worked for Mickey Lolich. Or Zach, for that matter.
It's interesting to note that our middle relief gave up just one earned run in 4 2/3 IP tonight. Cano, perhaps to his detriment, came in on longer rest and recorded just one out while giving up two earned runs.

I dont care what the stats say. Thjs is one of the worst pens in the league right now and I wont be convinced otherwise. Every single guy out there has warts. And most of them out there are hideous
Kind of ironic that the team with the best bullpen ERA-wise (the Yankees) isn't going to qualify for the playoffs.

Think you could argue for me three of the last 3 to fit that category. All leads or ties blown late that maybe are avoided wit Felix as the anchor. Our 1st loss because of Bautista's absence. Damn.
Bullpen is a disaster right now. Hopefully a couple guys can get hot and become effective before we get to October. Perez at least was only bad the one time so gotta hope that was a one-off.
But Elias had to fix the pen before the deadline and he did nothing. Awful decision and he's wearing that now. Can't predict Bautista injury, but it was trending towards being a weakness before that and the need was clear. We needed a wartime consigliere, and unfortunately for all his strengths, that's not Mike.

Said it all year. Young, inexperienced team. Hitting a wall at the absolute worst time. Should have give this team more reinforcements at the deadline.

Hindsight to be sure, but maybe it would have been better to let Hall start the ninth last night with two lefties leading off the inning.

You might be absolutely right about this and it's not just the pitching either. We're seeing the position players looking more taxed offensively and defensively. Some of this is just mental fatigue of a marathon of a season. We need to clinch this division and get some guys rested asap. We need a reset before the playoffs.
