Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason behind those games either. Sometimes go out and crush top pitchers. Then have games where we make the opposing pitcher look like Cy himself when in reality they are AAAA guys.

We can not keep extending GRod this season like he can't break.

 

He had 103 IP in 2021 at age 21

He had 75 IP last year but could have some work that make that 'more' at age 22.

He's at 152 innings coming into today and everyone acts like he's pitching multiple times each series in the Playoffs.

 

They can not push the pedal as if there's no consequences for a 23 year old.

I'll pile on Frazier's range every chance I can get (cuz Westburg is vastly superior), but that 2nd ball (the one that needed to be a DP), I don't think Jordan would've gotten to it. Not with what is considered DP depth in 2023 anyway.

Cleveland may be all but eliminated from playoff contention, however, I firmly believe these guys are going to play pretty hard for Francona. It's his last season and he seems to be pretty much revered.

Santander deserved that strikeout cuz the ump absolutely blew it on the first strike three call that Santander just didn't see the point at swinging his bat.
