Agreed. Feel like I’ve seen everything I’ve wanted to see from him tonight, all things considered. Only an 8% swinging strike %, but a ton of foul balls. In fact, foul balls account for the highest number of his strikes thrown today. So stuff not quite as crisp, which is to be expected at this juncture IMO. But veteranosity and pitching IQ on display from jump street.

Velocity is there, should only get sharper with each start.

Better than I was expecting, agreed. His stat cast data won’t look great, but again, first couple times through a big league lineup in over a year. To be expected. And he’s always given up dongs.
