Kind of fun to imagine how much better the outlook could get if Means somehow manages to come back firing on all cylinders like he's pitched in the past.

Re: Wainwright if it were anyone else he’d have been cut/demoted. But…he’s a Cards legend, is trying to get to 200 wins (two away, running out of time), and is retiring after this year and the team is going no where. So they keep giving him the ball.

I really want 100 wins. Cant believe its been 43 years. Its a relatively rare thing. 116 times over MLB history. Only 5 times in Os history.

The 2023 Orioles have a legitimate chance to match three Oriole teams in terms of 100 or more wins, though not necessarily overall record. The 1980 squad (100-62), 1979 (102-57), and 1971 (101-57). Catching the 1969 (109-53), and 1970 (108-54) teams is likely out of reach.

I am not worried about the win total as long it is one more than the Rays.  

 

It really is amazing how much better the Orioles and the Rays are then the other big money AL East franchises.

I am really looking forward to seeing Means tonight.  Hopefully he does okay.  The rotation needs a boost.

That would be great and better than we got last night from Kreme ball.

I want a strong finish because most World Series participants finish strong. At this point a 12-7 finish would give us a 20-9 month and 103 wins. That sounds about right to me.

Kremer did not have it last night.  That said, he did not get pounded either.  There was a lot of soft crap that did damage.  I think the Cardinals lineup is still pretty good.  I guess their pitching is bad, because the lineup is not.  It will be a challenge for Means.

It's been 40since we won a Series.  It is fun to at least think we have a chance to get there.

O's starters have had poor outings the last 3 games. Like to see Means stop this trend.

No one in the bullpen has pitched both of the last two games, but Irwin threw 39 pitches on Sunday, and yesterday Hall threw 27 and Fuji threw 25.  Webb (18), Coulombe (9), and Lopez (8) also pitched yesterday.  Cano and Perez should be fresh.

I guess these are the arms they want for the TB series and down the stretch. IMO 3 lefties arent neccessary. Couldve sent Irvin or Hall down and called up a fresh arm. Dont need 3 lefties.
