Pretty recent addition to rulebook; 2019 I think. The CU/CSU game had one as well, but the college rule says that the player has to be looking away from the block. The NFL rule bans pretty much all blocks toward your own end zone, with exceptions if the qb or rb is between the tackles.

I think it's a little overly protective. But what do I know.
