Yes. The results may be favorable, but it’d be the manager / hitting coach’s job to remind him afterwards about it.

This to me is the one major flaw the O's offense has. They do not adjust to the pitcher. They are a swing at the first pitch team. And that serves them well. Until it doesn't. And when it doesn't, like today, they have no inkling to adjust their approach. McCann at bat last inning was a perfect example. You aren't hitting this guy. So try and work him and make him throw some pitches. But nope. Lets hack at the first pitch and pop up.

I wonder if the Orioles OBP has declined since the All-Star break. Just seems like they're free swinging a lot more and not drawing as many walks. Of course, it might just be my imagination.
