Those type of ABs are why Hays should forever be near the lower end of the order.

Adley looked safe to me.
I think his foot was up as he crossed the plate.
The problem was the bad jump he got on Santander's base hit.

It’s not that simple. Bases loaded, no out, down one run, his job was to lift the ball into the OF. The further, the better.
I get that there’s a lot of randomness to baseball, but situational hitting is a thing. It’s not just chaos.

Bases loaded, no outs and you go up hacking at the first pitch. Not a great approach.
