5:40 local start time is extremely odd.

Snell's given up some runs his last two starts.  2 R in 6 IP and 3 R in 5 IP.  This after only giving up 5 runs total in all of June and July, pitching to a ridiculous 0.71 ERA.  He also typically doesn't pitch very deep, 5 or 6 innings max recently.  So if we can't get to him, we can get to the bullpen.

 

But another gem from Kremer would certainly help.

Btw you dont freaking think about touching Snell in FA. Not that we will spend that money on one player anyway but no one should. Dont know how he turned things around for a few months but his trajectory was in pretty steep decline as late as May of this year.

Snell reminds of a less-healthy version of Ubaldo. Capable of dominance, but could fall apart any time.

Agreed. Aaron Nola is the free agent I would go after. But still think a trade is the most likely avenue.

I dont know anything about him except looking at his stats on MLB reference. Why would you target him? Two of the last three seasons he's been a 4.5 era guy and he's RH so the wall doesn't help him much.  Probably missing something but I 'd set my sights higher than that. Now don't ask me who that would be I have no idea....lol.....

He's got elite stuff for sure but outside of his career year (2018), it hasn't translated to the field as much as it should have.  Gives up a lot of homeruns and that seems to be his Achilles heel but can have overpowering stuff.  I wouldn't mind having him and the Orioles certainly have the money to sign him.
