Could Hays be getting back on track? That would be huge for this lineup.
Sure hope so. It would be a damn shame to end another year like 2022.

Nice 3rd strike pitch to turn Chapman back towards the dugout.

We all have our preferences, all good. I missed the Olson games, had to listen on radio or watch on mute those games. Wonder if he'll be back this year?
I hope so. He was excellent...just as solid as Ben. Hopefully, you'll get a chance to hear him.

I'm sure that Flaherty is going to show some warts here and there - if he had none he wouldn't be available for Prieto, Rom, and Showalter. But he has a much higher ceiling than I expected. FB velocity was higher than his season average, and his breaking stuff is probably the best on the club. Early in the game he was missing glove-side pretty consistently, but it seems like the coaches/Flaherty figured out how to fix it because it wasn't a problem the rest of the game.
If he can keep this fastball velo for the rest of the season then this is a better pickup than I initially thought.

I wasn't able to watch the game, but I saw the box, and Flaherty had a real nice debut for his new team. That helps
Good news! I saw a dog today.

What I liked was how easy it seemed to be for Flaherty / Rutschman to become a solid battery right out of the gate.

1. 3 out of 4
2. Mountcastle hotter than hell
3. Hays has an awesome day
4. Flaherty with a superb outing.
and maybe best of all
5. Cowser got his first real ML extra base hit. Cmon kid turn it on.

Flaherty with the stellar debut.
Solid job by the BP.
Mountcastle continues to make the Blue Jays pitching staff his collective bitch.
Hays breaks out with four hits.
Cowser hits a ringing double. ( Way to go champ.)
Nice bounce back after a flat loss

Echo all comments above.
What a solid win. Good to cruise this one out to the series win.
Jays have a really good team but their body language today sucked. They looked owned and the only blemish is basically one disastrous inning yesterday.

I caught parts of the game on radio today, and when Flaherty got into that pickle in the sixth, he then struck out Chapman on a knuckle curve. I can't remember the last Oriole pitcher who even had that pitch since Mussina.

Glad we took 3/4 from Toronto. Should have been a sweep had it not been for the implosion of Mt. Fuji.

Was working during the game, but glad to see Flaherty have a great outing.

Flaherty's performance today was awesome. He demonstrated a mastery for several innings - where the lineup he faced was inconsequential.
More of that.

I caught a few innings of him on the mound and what impressed me was how his breaking stuff just fell off a table. He had Blue Jays hitters tied up in knots when he threw it. Easily the best breaking stuff on the team already. It just had a different bite to it.
