Is Cease more valuable than Berrios two years ago or Castillo last year?  He's got two more years of control, I think each of those guys had a single year left IIRC.

 

I would think the concern with Cease is last season might have been a big outlier, even if his peripherals haven't fallen as much as the ERA indicates. While they're smart to listen, I seriously doubt Chi trades him now. In a lightweight division it would make more sense to keep him for next season in hopes that they are either in the mix to win the division, or his performance improves and he has the sort value that they can get a haul at the '24 deadline even with 1 year less control remaining.

That's a fake Morosi account.  A few months ago, everyone predicted that the trade deadline would be a s-show, now that journalists are no longer verified on Twitter.  Looks like there are a bunch of fake Morosi accounts.
