Would love to play them 6 times in September.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

Anyone drunk in Chicago??
How about stone sober in Edgewood, MD? Pretty much the same thing.

As long as you enjoy your Saturday night and the Os win it’s fine with me!

Hou and Tex lose
Sea only 0.5 game behind Hou and 3 back of Texas.

Yankees lose 8 in a row.
We'll do it later and likely skewed a little by the trade deadline, but I'm betting there's a negative correlation between wins and payroll this year.

I get that. But I want them to finish under .500 and snap that streak.
No one cares about the damn Yankees anymore. Again, we need them tonot completely roll over.

Under .500 is virtually guaranteed. They need to not completely shut it down and roll over. They did this weekend at home against their biggest rival. Asshats

One of the great pretenders in the NL, Cincinnati, didn't help us much this weekend. I was hoping they'd take 2 of 3 against Toronto.

Toronto isn't much of a threat anymore. Not unless we have a 2011 Red Sox style collapse.

Lets chill for a bit on this. In particular lets see how this series goes this week

They're up by more games for the #1 seed (5) than the AL East (3) right now

Feels like unless some teams move around, our path is easier as the 2 seed. We face the winner of a series between the #3 wild card and the ALC division winner.
The no. 1 seed plays the iowest remaining wildcard in the division round. I guess that means we can't play Minnesota if they win the wildcard round and we're the number 1 seed. If things stayed the same you're right about the easier path but Seattle is on a heater and might overtake Houston and Texas.
At this point I'd rather get the 1 seed and let the chips fall where they may. I thought Texas and Houston were gonna take off with Scherzer and Verlander but so far that's not happening. The seeding is far from being decided in the west.

Yeah give me the one seed and the home field advantage. Plus just to be able to say we were the best team in the AL.

Yeah I'd love to see that Yankee streak end and see them have a losing season, but we can't have them rolling over against our AL East brethren like they did this weekend.

Ya'll are crazy. I want the Yankees to play .650 ball the rest of the way.
